Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD gets new release date in May 2024

Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD has had its own journey with its release date. The fantasy sci-fi actioner is going to be a one-of-its kind film. It was earlier supposed to release during the Makar Sakranti weekend on January 12, 2024. But now, on the original release date, the makers have announced the film’s new one.

Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD gets a new release date

The film was tentatively titled Project K earlier and marks Deepika’s return down South after a long time. It is also her first time pairing up with Prabhas. Taking to social media on Friday, Amitabh Bachchan, who is also a part of the film, announced its new release date. Kalki 2898 AD will now release in theatres on May 9, 2024. Making the big announcement, Big B wrote on X (Twitter), “The story that ended 6000 years ago. 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟗𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒. The future unfolds.”

The new release date announcement also comes with a new poster of Prabhas. It features the actor in a warrior look, looking fierce as ever. Kalki 2898 AD features Prabhas and Deepika with an ensemble cast. It includes Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. Nag Ashwin has directed this fantasy thriller.
