The Department of Health Research (DHR) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) have been given permission by the Union Government to sign a Project Collaboration Agreement on Assistive Technology.
The accord was approved today in New Delhi during a meeting of the Union Cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This partnership intends to promote research and innovation, create and disseminate suitable training programs, and raise worldwide awareness of access to assistive technology.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) and the Competition Commission of India (CCI) was also accepted at the meeting. Through information sharing, the sharing of best practices, and different capacity-building initiatives, the MoU aims to promote and improve cooperation in competition law and policy. Through experience sharing and technical cooperation, the MoU also intends to deepen ties between CCI and ECA and help them learn from and model each other’s approaches to applying competition law in their respective jurisdictions.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Chartered Accountants of the Maldives also received clearance from the Union Cabinet. By working together, ICAI and CA Maldives hope to improve accounting knowledge, professional and intellectual development, the interests of their respective members, and the growth of the accountancy profession in both India and the Maldives.
