16 police officers transferred in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 16 police officials in a recent reshuffle. The transferred officials include 7 Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers and 9 Deputy SP (DSP) rank officers.

The SP rank officers who have been transferred are – Abhishek Verma (from Rampur to Lucknow), Shishir (from Muzaffarnagar to Bareilly), Nitin Tiwari (from Bareilly to Kanpur), Prabhakar Chaudhary (from Kanpur to Muzaffarnagar), Sudhir Kumar (from Moradabad to Lucknow), Brijesh Kumar Srivastava (from Jhansi to Moradabad) and Gaurav Singh (from Police Training School Meerut to Kanpur).

The DSP rank officers who have been transferred are – Vineet Jaiswal (from Ghazipur to Bareilly), Adarsh Kumar (from Etawah to Agra), Shivram Yadav (from Agra to Gorakhpur), Omveer Singh (from SIT Kanpur to Kanpur Rural), Vishal Yadav (from Bareilly to Ghaziabad), Sudhakar Prajapati (from Muzaffarnagar to PAC 15), Dinesh Kumar Yadav (from Mathura to Banda), Rajendra Kumar Yadav (from Police Training School Lucknow to Rae Bareli) and Sunil Kumar Singh (from Ghaziabad to SIT Kanpur).

The transfer orders were issued by the Director General of Police (DGP) Mukul Goel. This reshuffle comes as a routine exercise undertaken by the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure the effective functioning of the state police force.

The transferred officials have been directed to assume their new positions immediately and to take charge of their respective districts. The UP government has emphasized the need for police officials to be responsive to the needs of the public and to maintain law and order in their respective jurisdictions.

The state has been witnessing an increase in crime rates, especially against women and children. The UP government has been taking several steps to tackle this issue, including setting up special police units and fast track courts to ensure swift justice for victims of such crimes.

The transfer of police officials is seen as a step towards ensuring better governance and improved law and order in the state. The government is expected to continue taking such measures to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
