UP ATS arrests two for working faux forex racket

LUCKNOW: The UP Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) has claimed to have busted a world faux forex racket following the arrest of two Faux Indian Foreign money Notes (FICN) suppliers from Varanasi, mentioned senior police officers in Lucknow.

The 2 have been arrested on Saturday. The ATS officers confirmed the 2 accused have been recognized as Deepak Kumar and Chandan Sainik, each residents of Pratapgarh.

The officers mentioned the duo had a previous file of smuggling narcotics and medicines.

That they had been arrested for the primary time for smuggling FICN from the Bangladesh border into Uttar Pradesh.

The full quantity of FICN to the face worth of Rs 97.500 lakh, all in 500 denominations, was recovered from their possession.
