Mumbai: The special CBI court is set to pass the final verdict in the Jiah Khan suicide case against actor Sooraj Pancholi on 28th April. Sooraj Pancholi, who is the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, has been accused of abetting the suicide of his former girlfriend, actress Jiah Khan.

Jiah Khan was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on June 3, 2013. The police had initially treated her death as a case of suicide, but her mother Rabiya Khan had alleged that her daughter was murdered and had demanded a CBI investigation. The case was later handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The CBI had filed a charge sheet against Sooraj Pancholi in 2018, accusing him of abetting the suicide of Jiah Khan. The trial had begun in 2019, and both sides had presented their arguments and evidence in court.

According to reports, the final verdict in the case will be passed by Special CBI Judge Anil Kumar Sisodia on 28th April. Sooraj Pancholi has maintained his innocence throughout the trial and has claimed that he was in a relationship with Jiah Khan and had no role in her death.

Jiah Khan had appeared in films like “Nishabd”, “Ghajini”, and “Housefull” during her career in Bollywood. Her death had shocked the film industry and her fans. Sooraj Pancholi, who had made his debut in Bollywood with the film “Hero” in 2015, has been under the scanner since the case was transferred to the CBI.

The verdict in the Jiah Khan suicide case is eagerly awaited by both the film industry and Jiah Khan’s fans. It remains to be seen what the final verdict will be and what impact it will have on the careers of the people involved in the case.
