‘Woh Khaas’ is India’s 1st dual audio short film which was shot in Hindi and dubbed in English. It is streaming on 9 OTT platforms including the likes of MX Player, Hungama Play, Vi Movies & TV, Pocket Films play with over 1.5 Million views combined, which is also a major achievement for small town filmmakers with no connection to Bollywood Industry.
Now the team of ‘Woh Khaas’ is going a step forward by making the sequel to India’s 1st dual audio short film and it is also the first time when a short film is having a sequel which is in a miniseries format.
To be made under the banner of Anaisha Motion Pictures, ‘Woh Khaas’ is going to have 3 episodes which will take the story forward.
Shambhavi Singh made her acting debut in ‘Woh Khaas’ (2021) with worldwide critical acclaim. She is a trained actor, singer, dancer, and model. She has got nominations in the best actress category for ‘Woh Khaas’ in multiple national and international film festivals including the likes of Chennai International Film Festival, 2021 . She has just finished the shooting of a web Series based on the novel of writer and producer Sunil Sihag Sihag Gora called ‘Day Turns Dark’ in the lead role alongside famous Bollywood and TV actors Sudhanshu Pandey and Vikash Shrivastav which is slated to release in mid 2022, the series is incidentally directed by Agam Anand, her ‘Woh Khaas’ co-star, writer and producer.
Now she is all set to play the role of Sandini again in the sequel to ‘Woh Khaas’ along with co-producing it, becoming one of the youngest producers to make a massive project like this with no film background.
Agam Anand is an award winning english novelist, producer, actor, screenwriter, standup comedian and director. His maiden project as an actor, screenwriter and Producer ‘Woh Khaas’ got a special premiere in UK at the Paus Premieres Festival on 10th August, 2021. There were nominations in the Best Actor and Best Writer categories bagged by him for ‘Woh Khaas’ in several National and International Film Festivals too. He also wrote the screenplay and script of a short film called ‘Populess’ which had its Premiere on MTV in July 2021. He recently made his directorial debut in the season one of the upcoming web series ‘Day Turns Dark’.
His first novella, A Non-Entity was published in 2015, which is considered as Bihar’s first homegrown contemporary English fiction. The Colossal Illusion, his second, within a day of its release the novel reached the top 100 best selling books on amazon.in and it is receiving positive response from readers and critics alike, it has received 5 nominations in 5 different revered literary awards and won the best romantic novel title at the TCK Reader’s Choice Awards 2019 in USA. He is reprising the character of Vihaan again in ‘Woh Khaas 2’ along with writing and producing it.
Both Agam Anand and Shambhavi Singh are looking to give young talents especially from Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and UP a platform to showcase their talent by giving them a chance to work in the sequel either in front of the camera or behind it as they hardly get any platform to prove their worth.
And for that recently, Anaisha Motion Pictures has launched an online filmmaking competition which is a rare talent hunt for new filmmakers and industry outsiders to actually get the work in cinema, the event is open for a month, you can send your original short films and winning films will stream on OTT platforms.
Anaisha Motion Pictures was formed by Agam Anand and Richa Singh in 2018, now Shambhavi Singh is officially a part of it and she is co-producing the next ventures along with the original members.
