Rashika Pradhan: ‘I was born to be an actor’

Mumbai: Rashika Pradhan, a talented artist born and raised in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is making waves in the world of entertainment. While she is now known for her acting prowess, her journey began in a different realm altogether.

Rashika is an engineer by profession and spent two and a half years working at Tech Mahindra. However, her true calling lay in the arts. During her engineering days, she dabbled in various activities including interning as an Rj at 93.5 Red Fm, engaging in theatre, kathak dancing, and participating in pageants and fashion shows. This early involvement paved the way for her transition into the world of entertainment.

In her own words, “I always knew Acting is something that I connect to a lot as I have always been acting all my life.” This passion for acting grew over time, and she soon realized that it was her true calling.

Rashika has achieved notable milestones in her journey. She was a national Level Shooter in the National Cadet Corps (NCC), holds a degree in Kathak, and was a Miss Diva Finalist. Notably, she received the Viewers Choice Award at Gladrags Megamodel, marking her presence in the competitive modeling domain.

Currently, Rashika is engrossed in an exciting project, keeping her fans eagerly anticipating its unveiling. Beyond her career, Rashika considers her hobby of acting to be the most significant aspect of her life. Auditioning and honing her craft are activities she is deeply passionate about.

Of course, like any journey, Rashika’s path has had its fair share of challenges. Particularly, for individuals from middle-class backgrounds in smaller cities, financial constraints can pose a significant hurdle. However, Rashika believes in investing in oneself—spending on acting training, books, and resources that genuinely contribute to enhancing one’s craft.

As a prominent figure in the entertainment world, Rashika has a unique perspective. She encourages seeing the world through an individual lens and being true to oneself, reflected in her quote, “See the world with your lens, don’t borrow others.”

Fans are drawn to Rashika’s unpredictable nature, adding to her allure as an artist. Looking ahead, Rashika envisions a future filled with diverse and memorable characters on the big screen and in the digital space.

On a personal note, Rashika’s dedication to her craft is evident from her recent experience preparing for a role. For a film set in Rajasthan, she went to great lengths to authentically embody her character, showcasing her commitment to her roles.
