PM Modi’s big decision regarding Haj, now VIP people will have to travel as ordinary people

Prime Minister Modi government is taking important decisions regarding every issue in a rapid pace. An major decision on the Haj has been made by the Narendra Modi cabinet at the centre. Sources claim that the government has eliminated the VIP quota for the Haj. Let us tell you  that the Haj Committee, Prime Minister, Vice President, and Minister for Minority Affairs all used to receive seats under the VIP quota. There were 200 seats available for the Haj Committee of India, 100 seats from the President’s quota, 75 seats from the Vice President’s quota, 75 seats from the Prime Minister’s quota, and 50 seats from the Minority Affairs Minister’s quota. The VIP allotment included 500 seats in total.

Let us tell tell you that, this has been eliminated in the new policy’s draught. All future Haj pilgrims must now travel through the Haj Committee and independent tour guides. The government’s Haj programme was introduced very soon. Following this government decision, VIP pilgrims will now travel in the same manner as other pilgrims. In a recent deal, the Saudi government and the Indian government agreed to enable more than 1,75,000 Indian pilgrims to participate in the annual pilgrimage in 2023.

Let us tell you that Er Ejaz Hussain, a member of the Haj Committee of India (HCOI), stated that the Indian Government and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia inked a bilateral agreement for the Haj in 2023. 175025 Indian pilgrims will conduct the Haj this year.
