The MH60 Romeo helicopter made its first touchdown on the INS Kolkata, a destroyer that was constructed and designed solely in India, marking an essential milestone for the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy will be higher ready to conduct underwater anti-submarine warfare thanks to the integration of the MH-60 Romeo helicopter with its warships.

It will enhance the Indian Navy’s capability to observe maritime operations and carry out surveillance missions.

The Indian Navy ordered 24 MH-60 Romeo helicopters in 2019.

One of the most technologically superior multi-mission helicopters in operation at present is the MH-60 Romeo. It is famous for its abilities in search and rescue, surveillance, anti-shipping, and anti-submarine warfare (ASW). In July 2022, the Indian Navy obtained the first cargo of two MH-60 Romeo helicopters.
