Mumbai: “Love Kills: Shabnam Aur Saleem” is a new web series released on the Discovery+ platform that has been garnering attention for its intriguing storyline. The show is a dramatized retelling of the infamous 2008 “Amroha Hathyakand,” a sensational double murder case that shook the country.

The series starts with the introduction of Shabnam (played by Rukhsar Rehman) and Saleem (played by Tanuj Virwani), two young lovers from Amroha, a small town in Uttar Pradesh. Shabnam is a beautiful and ambitious girl who dreams of leaving Amroha and making it big in the city, while Saleem is a dashing young man who has just returned to Amroha after completing his studies abroad.
