PSG’s Kylian Mbappe Injured, Out for Approximately Three Weeks

Paris Saint-Germain’s star player, Kylian Mbappe, suffered a thigh injury during the first half of the team’s 3-1 victory against Montpellier in Ligue 1. Initial reports suggested a knee injury, but subsequent tests confirmed the injury to be in the player’s thigh.

The club released a statement, saying, “Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps after undergoing tests.” If Mbappe misses the estimated three weeks, he will also miss the French Cup match against Marseille and may struggle to return in time for a crucial Ligue 1 game against the same team later in the month.

However, PSG is hopeful that Mbappe, who has an impressive record of 25 goals in 26 appearances this season, will be available for the second leg of their Champions League match against Bayern Munich on March 8th. This injury comes as a disappointment for PSG, who are seeking to avoid a repeat of last year’s early exit from the Champions League against Real Madrid.
