KL Rahul Becomes Fastest Indian to Score 7000 Runs in T20s

New Delhi: Indian cricketer KL Rahul has set a new record by becoming the fastest Indian to reach 7000 runs in the T20 format in terms of innings played. The right-handed batsman achieved this feat during a match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on April 23, 2023.

KL Rahul reached the milestone in his 213th innings, surpassing the previous record holder, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who achieved the feat in his 240th innings. Rahul’s innings in the match helped his team to set a competitive total of 180 runs for the opposition to chase.

The 30-year-old batsman made his debut in T20 cricket in 2013 and has been a consistent performer in the format since then.
