GST revenue collection for April 2023, highest ever at Rs. 1.87 lakh crore.

The government collected a whopping Rs 1.87 lakh crore as Goods and Services Tax (GST) in April, data released on May 1 by the Union Finance Ministry showed.

Gross GST collection in April 2023 is Rs.1,87,035 crore, the highest ever recorded in a single month of which CGST is Rs. 38440 crores, SGST is Rs. 47412crore, IGST is Rs. 89158 crores (including Rs. 34972 crores collected on imports) and cess is Rs. 12025 crores (including Rs.901 core collected on imports).

the revenues for the month of April are 12% higher than the same month last year.
