In an interview with ANI, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has made a suggestion regarding selective entry at the upcoming Navratri festival.

According to Rane entry should only be for Hindus.

To implement this he called for checking of ID proofs before entry.

“…It is the demand of the entire Hindu community that when Navaratri begin and dandia will be played, participants should be from the Hindu community..”.

“We have urged the organisers that if they check the Aadhaar cards of everyone coming in, at the entrance, and allow only Hindus, the Hindu women will not face any difficulty…” the MLA said.

The organisation had submitted a memorandum to the ADM’s office aiming for conditional entry at Garba events.

They have also made a call for women dressing up modestly for the event.

Furthermore they called for not playing obscene film songs and qawwali tunes.
