New Delhi: Wrestlers from Haryana have been protesting against the state government’s decision to remove the sport from the eligibility list for government jobs. The wrestlers have been staging protests in several parts of the state, demanding that the government revoke its decision.

In a show of solidarity, farmers and khap panchayats have also announced their support for the wrestlers. Several farmer groups have said they will join the protests, while khap panchayats have called for a state-wide bandh on May 10 in support of the wrestlers.

The state government had recently issued a notification stating that wrestling would no longer be considered a sport for the purpose of government jobs. The decision has been widely criticized by wrestlers and sports enthusiasts, who say it will have a negative impact on the sport in the state.

The wrestlers have also raised concerns about the lack of support from the state government for the sport, which has produced several national and international level wrestlers over the years. They have demanded that the government provide better facilities and support for wrestlers in the state.

The protests by the wrestlers have gained support from various quarters, with many people taking to social media to express their solidarity with the wrestlers. The issue has also caught the attention of opposition parties, with many leaders criticizing the state government’s decision and demanding that it be revoked.
