Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is currently serving a prison sentence, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, Sisodia has requested the Prime Minister to provide COVID-19 vaccines to all citizens for free.
Sisodia was arrested in November 2020, along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders, for protesting against the Centre’s farm laws. He was granted bail in the case but was later arrested in another case related to alleged rioting and damage to public property during the anti-CAA protests.

Sisodia’s letter to the Prime Minister highlights the urgency of the situation and the need for the government to take immediate action to ensure that the vaccination drive is expedited and reaches all corners of the country.

Sisodia, who is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entire country, and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that every citizen is vaccinated. He further added that it is imperative to make the vaccine available to everyone, especially the underprivileged sections of the society.

The former Deputy CM also highlighted the need for the government to increase the number of vaccination centres and improve the vaccination drive’s efficiency. He urged the Prime Minister to take immediate action to ensure that the vaccination process is expedited and reaches all corners of the country.

Sisodia’s letter comes at a time when India is facing a surge in COVID-19 cases, and the government is ramping up efforts to increase the vaccination drive’s pace. Several states have reported shortages of vaccines, and the government has been criticized for the slow pace of the vaccination drive.
