Team India will host a three-match T20 series against New Zealand under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. Today in Ranchi will witness the start of the first game (Jan 27). This game will start at 7.30 p.m. Indian time. The Indian squad just crushed NZ 3-0 at home in the three-match ODI series under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

In the Indian playing 11 for the Ranchi T20 encounter, three special bowlers, Shivam Mavi, Umran Malik, and Arshdeep Singh could be included in the playing XI. The fourth bowler will be Captain Pandya. He can introduce an additional spinner into playing 11 in such a scenario. Washington Sundar will very certainly be given the opportunity to spin in this game. While Kuldeep Yadav or Yuzvendra Chahal will both have a chance to be the second spinner. Kuldeep is more likely to earn a chance based on the past game’s performance.

Hardik Pandya has already indicated in the batting lineup who will begin the inning. In the press conference the day before, he stated that Shubman Gill will get the opportunity to begin the Ranchi game. That is, Ishan Kishan will start the game alongside him. While Prithvi Shaw must now wait.

Indian Team Probable Playing XI: Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Rahul Tripathi, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya (captain), Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Shivam Mavi, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav/Yuzvendra Chahal.
