New Delhi : Twitter has reportedly laid off dozens of employees in a fresh round of job cuts, marking at least the eighth such move since Elon Musk took over as CEO in late 2021. According to a report by The Information, the layoffs impacted multiple engineering teams supporting advertising technology, the main Twitter app, and technical infrastructure. The job cuts come as the company has seen a plunge in revenue following Musk’s takeover, with staff numbers having already fallen by at least 70% to around 2,000. In a similar move, Meta is planning a fresh round of job cuts that could impact thousands of workers, with a restructuring and downsizing effort likely to be undertaken.
