Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s rom-com suffers significant drop in box office earnings after a decent extended weekend. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar collected single-digit figures on its first Monday since its release, with an estimated Rs 6 crore nett earnings, around a 64% drop from its Sunday collection. The movie’s total collection now stands at approximately Rs 76.24 crore nett after six days, with Sunday being its highest-performing day. Despite performing better than many Bollywood films released this year, its limited reach to multiplex audiences will provide only decent collections, not anything extraordinary. Critics have not given good reviews, highlighting how the film encourages sexism, an outdated idea seen in many other movies by Luv Ranjan.
