The Industrial Output of India rise to 4.2% in April 2023

In April of this year, the country’s industrial output increased by 4.2 percent. The index of industrial production (IIP) increased in April as the output of the manufacturing sector increased by 4.9 percent and the output of the mining sector increased by 5.1 percent, according to figures issued today by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

In April, there was a 1.1 percent reduction in power production. IIP-based factory output increased by 6.7 percent in April of the previous year.
