Stone pelting on youths celebrating ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in Okay’taka metropolis, safety beefed up

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Police beefed up safety in components of Belagavi metropolis on Tuesday following an incident of stone pelting between two teams reported within the metropolis.

The incident occurred throughout the limits of the Market police station. Based on the police, the incident happened when a bunch of youths took out a rally, elevating slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ following the Pran Prathistha at Ayodhya on Monday.

All of a sudden, the group was attacked with stones. The focused group of youths retaliated in opposition to the assault. The police then resorted to a lathi cost and introduced the state of affairs below management.

Following the police motion, the teams that had engaged in stone pelting dispersed.

The Market police had been gathering CCTV footage to establish these concerned within the stone pelting.

As a precautionary measure, the police have deployed two platoons of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) at delicate factors.
