New Delhi, Jan 18 (IANS) Meta (previously Fb) on Thursday launched a brand new function known as “nighttime nudges” that goals to remind teenagers once they spend greater than 10 minutes on Instagram late at evening.

The brand new function will remind teenagers that it’s late and encourage them to close the app.

“Sleep is vital, significantly for younger folks, so we’re launching new nighttime nudges that can present up when teenagers have spent greater than 10 minutes on Instagram in locations like Reels or Direct Messages late at evening,” Meta mentioned in a blogpost.

“They’ll remind teenagers that it’s late, and encourage them to shut the app,” it added.

In the meantime, Meta has introduced that it’ll begin to cover extra forms of age-inappropriate content material for teenagers on Instagram and Fb, consistent with professional steering.
