Kirron Kher, BJP MP and Former Actress, Tests Positive for COVID-19

Mumbai: On Monday evening, Kirron Kher, the BJP MP from Chandigarh and former Bollywood actress, announced on social media that she has tested positive for COVID-19. The cancer survivor urged those who have been in contact with her to get tested as well. In 2021, Kirron was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, but was able to return to work the following year. She has appeared in numerous popular films with major production companies and is well-known for her roles as a mother figure in movies such as Devdas, Rang De Basanti, Hum Tum, Dostana, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, and Main Hoon Na. Kirron was previously married to Gautam Berry and has a son named Sikandar Kher. While her next project is unknown, her husband, actor Anupam Kher, has multiple upcoming projects, including his role as political leader JP Narayan in Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency” and his work on Vivek Agnihotri’s “The Vaccine War.”
