Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the controversy surrounding the Malayalam film ‘Kerala Story’, which has been accused of portraying the Indian Army in a negative light. Taking to Twitter, Ranaut said that the film is “anti-India and anti-army” and should be banned immediately. She also said that the film is “showing ISIS in a bad light”, and that the Indian film industry should not support such films.

Ranaut’s comments come after several BJP leaders and other right-wing activists have called for a ban on the film, which has been directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The film, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in lead roles, has been accused of portraying the Indian Army in a negative light, and showing support for extremist groups such as ISIS.

The controversy began after the trailer of the film was released online, and several clips from the film went viral on social media. The makers of the film have defended their work, saying that it is a work of fiction, and does not aim to hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Meanwhile, several other Bollywood actors have also voiced their opinions on the controversy, with many calling for a balanced approach to the issue. Some have also called for a screening of the film before making any decision about banning it.

The controversy has also led to protests in several parts of the country, with some right-wing groups burning effigies of the filmmakers, and others calling for a boycott of the film. The Kerala government has also stepped in to mediate the issue, with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan calling for a peaceful resolution to the matter.
