RANCHI: Jharkhand Excessive Courtroom on Monday sought ED’s reply on a writ petition filed by former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren towards his arrest in a cash laundering case linked to an alleged land rip-off.

Excessive Courtroom’s performing Chief Justice S Chandrashekhar and Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary’s bench has directed the company to file its reply by February 9.

Soren moved the excessive court docket after the Supreme Courtroom on Friday (February 2) declined to entertain his plea towards arrest.

Declining to entertain the plea filed by Soren immediately earlier than the apex court docket, a particular bench presided over by Justice Sanjiv Khanna mentioned: “Go to the Excessive Courtroom. We won’t entertain it.”
