New Delhi: The inaugural National Creators Award 2024 unfolded on Friday with a grand ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi bestowed honors upon the nation’s influencers, YouTubers, and content creators for their outstanding contributions. The event witnessed a momentous meeting between the Content Creators of India and PM Modi, who presented awards to deserving recipients. Among the winners was 19-year-old Instagram influencer Janhvi Singh, who received the prestigious Heritage Fashion Icon Award.
Janhvi Singh is not only an Instagram sensation but also a dedicated Yoga Instructor. Her content primarily focuses on spirituality and Indian culture, with a mission to promote and preserve the country’s rich heritage. Janhvi, who has been a full-time content creator for the past two years, also manages her YouTube channel named “Gita Se Gyaan,” where she imparts teachings from sacred texts and addresses daily life problems through ancient wisdom.
Upon receiving the Heritage Fashion Icon Award from Prime Minister Modi, an overwhelmed Janhvi Singh attempted to touch the Prime Minister’s feet as a gesture of respect. However, in a surprising turn of events, PM Modi reciprocated by bowing down to her feet, acknowledging her significant efforts in promoting India’s culture and heritage through her content.
Janhvi Singh, an English Honors graduate from Amity University, has previously been recognized for her contributions, winning awards such as the Yuva Soch Award 2023 and the ClassPlus: India’s Top Creator. With an impressive following of 564,000 on Instagram, Janhvi has become a notable influencer who uses her platform to convey traditional values and spiritual teachings.
During the award ceremony, Janhvi expressed her commitment to taking “New India” forward by embracing traditions, spiritualism, and traditional Indian attire, particularly sarees. She urged everyone not to forget their roots, customs, traditions, and culture.
In an engaging interaction with Prime Minister Modi, Janhvi was asked about her efforts to encourage the youth to embrace traditional clothing like Dhoti and Saree. Responding confidently, she highlighted the diverse textiles in the country and shared her dedication to promoting them through her videos.
Janhvi’s win at the National Creators Award 2024 reflects the growing influence of content creators who are not only shaping online trends but also contributing to the preservation and promotion of India’s cultural heritage.
