In new developments over Maneka Gandhi’s accusations on ISKCON for selling cows to butchers, ISKCON has decided to file a 100cr defamation case against her.
A legal notice addressing the BJP MP was sent on Friday.
The vice-president of ISKCON Kolkata said the allegations are unfortunate.
“The comments of Maneka Gandhi were very unfortunate. Our devotees across the world are very hurt. We are taking legal action of defamation of Rs 100 crore against her. We have sent her a notice on Friday,” vice-president of ISKCON Kolkata, Radharamn Das, said.
He said Gandhi has no evidence for her claims furthermore she is in fact lying.
“How can an MP, once a Union Minister, say a lie against such a big society without any evidence? She is saying (in the purported video) that she visited our Anantpur Gaushala but our bhakts (ISKCON members) there do not remember the visit.” Das added.
