Ind vs SL: Team India’s thrilling win in the very first T20 match against Sri Lanka

Team India is playing a three match T20 series against Sri Lanka at home under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. In the very first T20 match Sri Lanka invited Indian batsmen to play first. After batting first Team India couldn’t do anything special and were stopped at 162 for the loss of 5 wickets in the given 20 overs by the Sri Lankan bowlers. Shubhman Gill (7), Suryakumar Yadav (7), and Sanju Samson (5) couldn’t do anything special.

Let us tell you that India has a very explosive start from the very first over and Ishan smashed first over for 17 runs but later Sri Lankan bowlers made a great comeback and got their first wicket as Shubhman Gill (7). In the end Deepak Hooda 41(23) (4×1, 6×4) and Axar Patel 31(20) (4×3, 6×1) helped India to reach a respectable total. For Sri Lanka each bowler took one wicket each except Rajitha, who was the most expensive bowler without taking any wicket.

While chasing Sri Lanka couldn’t have a great start and Shivam Mavi took his first International wicket as Nissanka (1). Sri Lanka continuously kept losing wickets. Last over has a great contest between visitors and the hosts but in the end Sri Lanka lost the match by just 2 runs. For India Shivam Mavi has very impressive spell taking 4 wickets in his debut match, while Umran Malik and Harshal Patel took 2 wickets each. Deepak Hooda was given the man of the match for his phenomenal finish to give visitors a fighting total.
