  • New Delhi The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) will purchase 2,500 drones under the name “IFFCO Kisan Drones” to use as spraying tools for its nano-sized urea and nano-sized DAP (diallyl phosphate) products. As a result, IFFCO will train 5,000 rural entrepreneurs who have been selected to use drones for spraying. The farmer cooperative said today that IFFCO will also purchase 2500 electric three-wheelers (loading type) to transport the drones, nano fertilizers, and related utilities to the farmers’ fields.

“IFFCO has hired Drone Federation of India, a consultant with offices in New Delhi, to gain access to the technological capabilities, production capacity, manufacturing process, quality processes, training curriculum, and infrastructure. The technical requirements of the agricultural drones being purchased by IFFCO for spraying nano fertilizers are in conformity with industry norms, according to the Drone Federation of India, which reviewed the specs. One drone should be able to spray IFFCO nano fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers (WSF), biostimulants like Sagarika, and agrochemicals on 20 acres each day, according to IFFCO.

The IFFCO has also bought tractor-mounted boom sprayers, tractor-mounted hose reel sprayers, HTP power sprayers with guns, static/portable sprayers, and Niyo sprayers for foliar application of nano fertilizers in addition to this and to boost this statewide campaign. Using agricultural sprayers and drones, the nano fertilizers are applied by foliar application to a variety of crops. Any type of spray application may be done using drones and sprayers, according to the farmer cooperative.

“Using these clever high-tech solutions, IFFCO has started supplying nano urea and nano DAP to the farmers’ fields. The Internet of Things (IoT), rural e-commerce, digitally enabling farmers and farms, and nanotechnology-based fertilizers are just a few of the ground-breaking agro-technologies that IFFCO has introduced and invested in. By appealing to innovators and forward-thinking rural entrepreneurs who are pursuing sustainable agriculture, IFFCO aspires to be the face of modern Indian agriculture, the company stated.
