The Indian Army’s communication infrastructure will be strengthened thanks to a 500 crore rupee contract that the Defence Ministry today inked with a domestic company for the delivery of radio relay containers. A deal for purchasing more than a thousand containers of equipment for radio relay communication was made with ICOMM Tele Limited of Hyderabad.

According to the Defence Ministry, the Radio Relay Containers would finally meet the Indian Army’s long-overdue need for mobile communication detachments. These containers will be used to give communication equipment a safe environment. The containers would be driven in accordance with operational requirements while mounted on authorized specialized trucks. This will encourage the private sector to actively participate in attaining the vision of an independent India and further boost the domestic production of defensive equipment. The creation of such cutting-edge machinery would also aid in growing exports to friendly nations.
