Bollywood Actor and Director Satish Kaushik Dies of Heart Attack at 66

Gurugram : Satish Kaushik, Bollywood actor and director known for his roles in films like Mr India and directorial ventures like Tere Naam, passed away at the age of 66 due to a heart attack while travelling in a car. The news of his death was confirmed by his friend and actor Anupam Kher. Kaushik was a theatre artist before making a name in Bollywood and was known for his performances in several films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron and Udta Punjab. He also directed films like Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja and Kaagaz. He won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award for Ram Lakhan and Saajan Chale Sasural. Satish is survived by his wife and 11-year-old daughter.

The film fraternity, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and director Madhur Bhandarkar, paid their last respects to the veteran artist.
