Mumbai: The Oscars are just a few hours away and Indians are hoping for RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ to win the award for ‘Original Song’. AR Rahman, the music maestro who won an Academy Award for his composition in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, expressed his wish for the same in an interview with ANI. According to Rahman, any award won by an Indian artist raises the country’s global profile. Naatu Naatu, with its energizing music by MM Keeravani, dynamic rendition by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, and unique choreography by Prem Rakshith, is a perfect dance anthem. It competes with songs from ‘Tell It Like A Woman,’ ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ and ‘Everything, Everywhere All At Once.’ In addition, two Indian documentaries, ‘All That Breathes’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers,’ have been nominated for awards. The live telecast of the 95th Academy Awards in India can be seen on Disney+Hotstar, while the ABC Network will stream the event on various platforms, including YouTube, Direct TV, FUBOTV, and Hulu Live TV with a subscription.
