Mumbai: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma turned 34 on Friday, April 30, and fans flooded social media with wishes and love for the star. On this occasion, let us take a look at some lesser-known facts about her life and career.

Anushka Sharma was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, and raised in Bangalore, Karnataka. She completed her education from Army School, Bangalore, and later graduated with a degree in arts from Mount Carmel College.

Before making her acting debut, Anushka worked as a model and was signed by designer Wendell Rodricks for his Spring/Summer 2007 Collection. She then went on to do several ad campaigns, including for brands like Fiat Palio, Nathella Jewelry, and Silk & Shine.

Anushka made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with the film “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film was a massive hit and earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination.

She has since then acted in several successful films, including “Band Baaja Baaraat”, “PK”, “Sultan”, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, and “Sanju”, among others. Anushka has also produced several critically acclaimed films under her production banner Clean Slate Filmz, including “NH10”, “Phillauri”, and “Pari”.

Apart from her acting career, Anushka is also known for her philanthropic work. She has been actively involved in campaigns related to animal welfare, gender equality, and education.

Anushka is married to Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Vamika, earlier this year.
