Agriculture minister narendra singh tomar launched the first of its kind ’millets experience center (MEC)’at delhi hatt in New Delhi on 28 April 2023
National agriculture cooperative Marketing Foundation of India Ltd.(NAFED) has established it in collaboration with the agriculture minister.
It aims to raise awareness of millets and encourage their adoption among the general public. it is a dedicated center that showcases the various types of millet available in the country, their nutritional value, and how they can be incorporated into the daily diet.
Its main aim is to encourage people to the better health consumption of millet and to educate their benefits in daily life or to improve their health.
