Actress Ayesha Jhulka talks about her break from Bollywood movies

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Ayesha Jhulka, who had taken a break from movies after her marriage, is now back in the limelight with her OTT debut. In a recent interview, the actress talked about her career and the reason for her break from Bollywood.

Ayesha Jhulka made her Bollywood debut in 1989 with the film ‘Kurbaan’. She went on to act in several hit films like ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Khiladi’, and ‘Dalaal’ among others. However, the actress took a break from films after her marriage in 2003.

Talking about her break from Bollywood, Ayesha said, “I took a break because I wanted to enjoy my personal life. I wanted to travel and spend time with my family. I got married in 2003 and then I moved to New Zealand. I stayed there for six years and enjoyed my time.”

Ayesha Jhulka is now back in the limelight with her OTT debut in the web series ‘Rasbhari’. The actress said that the OTT platform has been a game changer for her. “I was getting offers for films but nothing interesting was coming my way. Then I got this offer for ‘Rasbhari’ and I was really excited about it. The OTT platform has opened up so many opportunities for actors like me. It has been a game changer for me,” she said.

The actress also spoke about the changes in the film industry over the years. “The industry has changed a lot since I started my career. There are more opportunities for actors now, and the audience has also evolved. They are now more accepting of different types of content. The industry is more professional now, and everything is more organized,” she said.

Ayesha Jhulka’s fans are excited to see her back on screen and are looking forward to her upcoming projects.
