Recently, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan shared the news of his collaboration with director duo Pushkar and Gayathri for the Hindi-language remake of Tamil blockbuster VikramVedha, SalmanKhan is also being considered to play the lead in the remake of Thala Ajith-starrer Veeram. While these projects are still in the announcement phase, there a few South films that are being remade in #Bollywood in 2022-23.

- Veeram
Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is an upcoming Bollywood drama film. The film is being helmed by Farhad Samji as director and Sajid Nadiadwala is going to be the film’s producer. The Thala Ajith’s Veeram remake is supposed to hit the cinemas during during new year 2023. Fans will have to wait for any further announcements made by the producers or crew members.

- Ratsasan
Tamil thriller blockbuster Ratsasan is set to be remade in Hindi as Cuttputli. It’s now confirmed that Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh will star in the Hindi remake of the film Ratsasan. The original version had Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in lead roles. Akshay will be essaying the character originally played by Vishnu Vishal in the investigative thriller. Actress Rakul Preet Singh will play Amala Paul’s role. The movie will be directed by Ranjit M Tewari.
- Kaithi
Singham star Ajay Devgn is soon going to be seen in the Hindi remake of the Tamil action thriller film Kaithi. What will reportedly be Devgn’s 10th South Indian film remake, this film revolves around a prisoner on parole who is enlisted by an injured police officer to help with a drug raid while he is on his way to meet his daughter. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film was supposed to release on 2022, but has been delayed.
- VikramVedha
Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan star as a gangster and a cop, respectively, in this upcoming remake of the Tamil film Vikram Vedha. The director duo Pushkar and Gayathri who directed the original film, will be leading the remake. The film focuses on the notions behind good and evil as Vikram (the policeman, aka the good) is on a quest to capture Vedha (the gangster, aka the evil).
- Anniyan
Ranveer Singh and South filmmaker Shankar have joined hands for their most ambitious project. Shankar will direct Ranveer in the official adaptation of his cult blockbuster Anniyan, which has been a dubbed satellite hit under the name of Aparichit.
7. Drishyam2
The earlier film had Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran in the lead roles. And these actors are likely to return to reprise their respective roles in the sequel as well.
Jeethu Joseph had retained the main star cast from the 2013 film for the sequel. And he also did the same for the Telugu remake titled Drushyam 2. It is unlikely the filmmakers would rope in different actors for the Hindi remake of the sequel. And yet, the filmmakers are keeping the cards very close to the chest.
Drishyam 2 – The Resumption is set six years after the events of the first film. It follows the struggles of the Georgekutty family, which has now become the subject of gossip and ridicule in the village.
8. AlaVaikunthapurramuloo
Young Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan is on board for the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that is expected to release early next year. The makers are currently busy doing finishing touches to the movie so that it will fit the Hindi audience properly. 9. Maanagaram
Released in 2017, Maanagaram is a city-based thriller that revolves around the theme of hope and drives you to seek out the positive in a world where everything seems to be going wrong. Directed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, the Hindi remake of the film is titled Mumbaikar and stars Vikrant Massey, Sanjay Mishra, and Ranvir Shorey. The storyline of the film will be retained and the remake will add more details to the characters.
- Khiladi
Salman has acquired the remake rights of the upcoming Telugu film Khiladi. However, there is no official word regarding the same yet. Reportedly, Salman recently watched the film’s teaser and he totally loved it. If reports are anything to go by, this will be the second film of Ravi Teja, which Salman will remake into Hindi. Meanwhile, Khiladi will see Ravi Teja in a dual role alongside Arjun Sarja, Unni Mukundan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Dimple Hayathi.
