New Delhi: Rapper Badshah and Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi have confirmed that they have decided to part ways, putting an end to weeks of speculation surrounding their relationship. The couple shared separate but similar statements on their Instagram Stories on Monday night, confirming that the decision was mutual.
Badshah and Isha, who largely kept their personal life away from the public spotlight, requested fans and the media to respect their privacy and avoid further speculation about their relationship.
Badshah and Isha Rikhi Release Matching Statements
Badshah announced their separation through an Instagram Story, saying that the couple had mutually decided to move forward on separate paths.
“Isha Rikhi and I have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we request everyone to kindly respect our privacy during this time,” Badshah wrote.
He further added, “This will be our only statement on the matter. We sincerely request that there be no further speculation or assumptions regarding our relationship.”
Isha Rikhi also shared a similar statement on her Instagram Story.
Relationship Rumours Had Been Circulating Since July
Speculation about trouble in Badshah and Isha’s relationship began circulating on social media in July. Around the same time, Isha had shared a montage of pictures and videos featuring herself and Badshah.
The post carried the caption, “Every storm is a lesson. Every prayer is hope,” along with heartbreak and folded-hands emojis. Although she did not directly mention any relationship problems, the post sparked discussions among social media users.
More recently, Isha’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, shared a series of social media posts centred around karma. While those posts did not directly refer to Badshah or Isha’s marriage, they further fuelled speculation.
Isha had previously spoken about her relationship with Badshah during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session in June, publicly confirming their relationship.
Badshah and Isha Had Kept Their Marriage Private
Badshah and Isha had reportedly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in March. However, the couple chose to keep details about their marriage largely private.
Their separation announcement comes amid reports that Isha Rikhi could appear as a contestant on Bigg Boss 20, which is set to be hosted by Salman Khan.
Badshah’s Second Marriage Ends in Divorce
The separation marks the end of Badshah’s second marriage. The rapper was previously married to Jasmine Masih. The couple finalised their divorce in 2020 and have a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, who was born in January 2017.
With their latest statements, Badshah and Isha Rikhi have made it clear that they do not wish to discuss the details of their separation publicly and have urged everyone to respect their privacy.
