Man arrested for gang rape, compelled conversion of lady in UP

LUCKNOW: Lucknow police have arrested a 24-year-old man, who allegedly gang-raped a 21-year-old lady and recorded her objectionable movies with the assistance of his pals, after spiking her ice-cream and extorting Rs 3 lakh.

They even threatened her to put up the video on social media.

The person can also be accused of forcing the lady to alter her faith, police mentioned.

The accused, Nihal a.ok.a. Syed Abdul Alim Zafri, a resident of Madiyaon, was arrested from Noida on Monday, the place he was working in a personal agency.

A case in opposition to him and his pals was registered in June final, underneath a number of fees at Aliganj police station.

The police registered one other case after the arrest in critical fees together with 376 D (gang-rape) and sections associated to the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Illegal Conversion of Faith, at Ghazipur police station in Lucknow.

In her grievance, the sufferer said that Nihal befriended her, and in the future, he allegedly drugged her with ice-cream, subjecting her to sexual abuse together with his pals. He recorded the whole incident and threatened to share it on social media.

She additionally accused Nihal of coercing her into altering her faith, mentioned Abijith R Shankar, ADCP North.

“The prime accused has been arrested, whereas the search is on to nab the remaining accused, ” he added.
