Born on January 29th in the vibrant city of Lucknow, this 24-year-old artist is making waves in the music industry with her melodious tunes and soulful voice.
From a tender age, music was an inherent part of Prateeksha’s life, fostered by a family deeply entrenched in the world of Indian Classical music. “I began my musical journey learning tabla from my father and later received extensive training in Indian classical music from him and other gurus. At 19, my mother made a decisive move, sending me to Mumbai to pursue my passion, despite initial family resistance. Eventually, everyone rallied behind my musical aspirations and provided their full support.,” she shared.
Speaking of her significant achievements, Prateeksha’s talent was recognized early on when she secured a position among the top five contestants in Zee Saregamapa Little Champs ’09. She is also a Guinness Book of World Records holder for her contribution to the world’s largest cinematic band. Notably, her song ‘Jiya Kaanch Ka’ received the Best Composition Award at IIMA 2023 and was nominated for Best Collaboration. Prateeksha has graced numerous web series and movies with her melodious voice, such as ‘U-turn.’ Her single ‘Naino Ki To Baat’ has amassed an impressive 500 million plays, making it her highest-grossing single to date. Recently, her single ‘Khamakhaa’ earned her a feature not only in RADAR India but also on RADAR GLOBAL.
