Journalist shot dead in Bihar

Vimal kumar Yadav , a journalist working with Dainik Jagran, was shot dead in Bihar’s Araria district earlier today.

The incident took place at 5:30 in the morning outside vimal’s home when 4 men knocked at his door at shot him as he opened the door.

“Four criminals had reached his home and shot him from a close range. He died on the spot.”, Araria SP Ashok Kumar Singh told the media.

Singh stated, “The FSL team is at the spot, deceased’s body was taken for post-mortem. Efforts are underway to nab the accused”.

The case is currently being linked to the murder of Vimal’s brother.

Vimal was the sole witness in his brother’s murder back in 2019, and was threatened many times to not testify in the court.

The incident has occurred just a day after Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar dismissed the oppositions claim on Law and Order in the state, as false.
