Yamuna crosses warning level again in Delhi, likely to swell further

New Delhi Rain: Monday morning delivered lovely weather to the nation’s capital after two days of heavy rain. However, Delhi experienced significant rains in the afternoon. Once the water level hits the 206-meter mark, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has ordered authorities to evacuate people from low-lying regions near the Yamuna.

The Delhi Chief Minister also gave the populace assurances that experts believed the national capital might not experience a flood situation.

According to a tweet from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Delhi, all experienced heavy rainfall, with certain places also seeing extremely heavy showers this afternoon. The weather department has forecast a mostly cloudy sky with a chance of light rain.
