Jammu: In a recent encounter, security forces have neutralized a terrorist in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter broke out after a joint team of the police and the army launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

According to the reports, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces during the search operation which resulted in the encounter. The firefight lasted for several hours in which one terrorist was killed while others managed to escape.

The security forces have seized arms and ammunition from the encounter site. The operation is still ongoing to nab the remaining terrorists in the area.
