Mumbai: Music video director Dinesh Sudarshan Soi has been creating waves for the right reasons. Besides the release of his back-to-back singles, the filmmaker recently added one more glory as he won the Best Music Video Director Award at the 2nd Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films International 2023 Dubai organised by Kalyanji Jana. As he continues the streak of bringing spectacular music videos, the filmmaker is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming track ‘Guzra Zamana’.
Crooned by Ananya Sankhe & Haricharan Seshadri, the music video will feature Ananya with Jatin Suri. Interestingly, Jatin is making his music video debut after his successful stint on television. With Dinesh Sudarshan Soi taking the director’s seat, sources close to him suggest that the song is an intense romantic melody.
For the track, Soi has joined hands with Ashish Sharma, and the song will be produced under their production houses DS Creations™️ Entertainment and Mad Motion Pictures. It is believed that the song will be shot at some unexplored locations on the outskirts of Mumbai. Moreover, ‘Guzra Zamana’ is said to be one of Soi’s favourite tracks. The music of the soothing track is composed by Goutham Vincent and its lyrics by Gafoor Kolathur.
In addition, ‘Guzra Zamana’ will be released on May 2, 2023 which marks the birthday of Maesha Soi, the little daughter of Dinesh Soi and Sonia Malhotra Soi. To know about it, we contacted the director. Speaking about it, he said, “I am excited for ‘Guzra Zamana’. The song is close to my heart and gives an old-school love vibe. The song will release on YouTube channel DS Creations™️ Music. For this project, I want to thank Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, vice president of the Mumbai Mahila Congress for introducing me to amazing talent like Jatin Suri. Also, I am thankful to Anantara Production.”
As far as the project is concerned, Deepak Soi is the executive producer, Vighnesh is the choreographer, Sonia Malhotra Soi is the creative director & Riya Gupta is Assistant Director. DOP & Editor is Harsh Garg whereas Makrand Satam is the colorist. Just like Dinesh Sudarshan Soi’s past outings, ‘Guzra Zamana’ seems to be another audio-visual spectacle. The filmmaker is keen to release the song on his daughter’s birthday, whom he considers his lucky charm.
On the work front, Mr. Soi has a handful of projects in his kitty. Apart from music videos, he is also directing a feature film. Soi recently completed his film directorial debut project. Now that he has made a foray into film direction, Dinesh Sudarshan Soi is in talks for a comedy web series which will go on floors soon.
