Mumbai : Dinesh Sudarshan Soi is an Indian filmmaker who has pre-dominantly directed music videos with India’s leading actors, influencers and content creators. With more than 70 music videos under the director’s name, his best works include ‘Baarish’, ‘Yeh Galiyan Yeh Chaubara’, ‘Sohna Sohna Munda’, ‘Tum Kaho Toh’ and ‘Dil Tune Toda Hai’ to name a few.

Born on May 17, 1984, in the small town of Kalanaur in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab he was raised in Mohali. While he is qualified as a ACCA (l) with an M.Com degree, he also holds an MBA degree. However, Dinesh’s love for music and films saw his transition into the world of entertainment. Beginning his career as a casting director, Soi founded his casting firm ‘DS Creations’ in 2002 which is now operated by his wife Sonia Malhotra Soi and elder brother Deepak Soi.

Currently, ‘DS Creations’ has three verticals – ‘Team DS Creations, ‘DS Creations Entertainment’ and ‘DS Creations Music’. Highlighting his record-breaking achievements, Mr. Soi has carved his name in the India Book of Records, Asia Book Of Records and Bravo’s International Book Of World Records for doing maximum castings.

Moreover, he was recognised as the ‘Finest Casting Director’ by the Asia Book of Records. He has the biggest IMDb. He is previledged to get Trophy from the IMDb founder Mr. Col Needham.

In addition, he was honoured with the Best Debutant Director Award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Icon Award Films consecutively for two years in 2020 & 2021. Currently he along with his co-director Waseem Amrohi, is busy in completing the last schedule of his debut hindi feature film which is based on Sardar Udham Singh.
