Gurugram : A man named Tushar Sharma allegedly raped a 27-year-old woman who was drugged with a sedative mixed in water in his car parked in the basement of Sahara mall in Haryana’s Gurugram. The woman, an engineering graduate who was looking for an online job, received a call from Sharma who introduced himself as an employer and called her for an interview at the mall on Saturday. According to the victim’s statement to the police, she lost consciousness after drinking the water offered by the accused and was raped. The incident was reported to the police, and the victim was taken for a medical examination. The accused is yet to be arrested, and the police are investigating the matter by verifying the complaint’s allegations and seeking CCTV footage from the mall management. Tushar Sharma has been booked under Sections 328, 376, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
