Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 runs in a thrilling final to capture their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title on Saturday.
Mumbai, batting first, posted a total of 149/7. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur played a stellar knock of 66 off 44 balls, while Nat Sciver-Brunt supported with a valuable 30 runs.
In reply, Delhi Capitals managed 141/9 in their 20 overs, falling short by 8 runs. Sciver-Brunt was the standout bowler for Mumbai, claiming 3 wickets for 30 runs, while Amelia Kerr picked up two wickets.
For Delhi, Marizanne Kapp top-scored with 40, and Jemimah Rodrigues contributed with a knock of 30.
