Washington, Jan 20: The USA carried out a contemporary spherical of assault towards the Houthi rebels in Yemen destroying three anti-ship missiles within the Crimson Sea.

The White Home confirmed in an announcement that this was the fourth preemptive motion taken by the US army amid boiling tensions within the Crimson Sea.

“This morning, US forces carried out three profitable self-defence strikes towards Houthi targets in Yemen. That is the fourth preemptive motion that the US army has taken previously,” White Home stated in an announcement on Friday. The US Central Command knowledgeable that the assault was carried out at round 6:45 pm (Sanaa time) after the anti-ship missiles “introduced an imminent menace” to service provider vessels and the US Navy ships within the area.

“As a part of ongoing efforts to guard freedom of navigation and forestall assaults on maritime vessels, US Navy ships are current within the Crimson Sea. On Jan. 19 at roughly 6:45 p.m. (Sanaa time), US Central Command forces carried out strikes towards three Houthi anti-ship missiles that had been aimed into the Southern Crimson Sea and had been ready to launch,” the US Central Command posted on X.

“US forces recognized the missiles in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and decided that they introduced an imminent menace to service provider vessels and the US Navy ships within the area. US forces subsequently struck and destroyed the missiles in self-defense. This motion will make worldwide waters secure and safe for US navy vessels and service provider vessels,” it added.
