 PRESIDENT OF INDIA ADDRESSES MEMBERS OF RAJASTHAN LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY

Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, spoke to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in Jaipur today (July 14, 2023).

The President stated during his speech that the Constitution’s guiding principles were based on the aspirations of our battle for independence. All legislators should act according to the constitutional ideas of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The President claimed that every sphere of civilization and culture in Rajasthan is characterized by very strong traditions. The people of Rajasthan have a strong sense of duty to defend their dignity. It served as the foundation for Rajasthan’s illustrious history. She claimed that individuals from all tribes and communities in Rajasthan had demonstrated exceptional acts of patriotism.

According to the President, Rajasthan’s artifacts and endearing people draw tourists from all over the world. A glossy tint of nature is displayed from the Jaisalmer desert to Mount Abu, the lakes in Udaipur, and the forests in Ranthambore. She added that Rajasthan’s industrious populace has distinguished themselves in a number of industries related to trade and commerce both domestically and internationally.

The fact that former members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly are presiding over both Houses of the current Parliament, according to the President, is a source of pride for Rajasthan.

According to the President, this country has had a democratic, egalitarian political system since its inception. From Shri Mohanlal Sukhadia through Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, public officials offered strong leadership in the implementation of inclusive and welfare initiatives in the state after independence. She emphasized that it is the responsibility of every legislator to uphold this heritage of inclusive growth and act in the best interests of the people.
