Meta Spent Over $27 Million On Mark Zuckerberg’s Security

Meta, paid CEO Mark Zuckerberg for his personal private jet travel of around $2.3 million in 2022. Meta said that Mr. Zukerberg was paid $27.1 million in different compensation, including $14.8 million for the cost related to security at his homes and during his travels.
Meta stated that “being our, founder, CEO, chair, and controlling shareholder, identified specific threats to Mr. Zuckerberg ” “We believe that Mr. Zuckerberg’s role puts him in a unique position: he is synonymous with Meta and, as a result, negative sentiment regarding our company is directly associated with, and often transferred to, Mr. Zuckerberg,”
according to the new york post, Meta paid $1.6 million out in 2021 and approx $1.8 million in 2020.
meanwhile, the high-flying budget of Mr. Zukerberg follows reports of Meta’s new round of job cuts.
on Wednesday the company carried another round of layoffs, hitting tech teams and engineers, which take place in three main branches over several months and impact 10,000 employees and became the first big tech company to announce a second round of layoffs.
