Melissa McCarthy is happy Barbra Streisand is aware of who she is.

The 53-year-old actress insisted she has no laborious emotions after the veteran entertainer triggered a stir when she publicly requested her on Instagram if she had been utilizing weight-loss drug Ozempic, and as an alternative she looks like she has “received the day” by receiving a praise from the 82-year-old star.

Sharing a brief video on Instagram by which she was studying {a magazine} with a classic photograph of Barbra on the quilt, Melissa stated: “The takeaway – Barbra Streisand is aware of I exist, she reached out to me, and she or he thought I regarded good.

“I win the day.”

She captioned the publish: “@Barbrastreisand fan membership members solely!!!”

The ‘A Star is Born’ star had raised eyebrows when she made her touch upon a publish shared by the ‘Bridesmaids’ actress which featured her and choreographer Adam Shankman outdoors the Centre Theatre Group Gala in Los Angeles.

Barbra commented: “Give him my regards did you are taking Ozempic?”

Following a backlash, the ‘You Do not Carry Me Flowers’ singer later admitted she had “forgot the world is studying” when she made her remark.

She stated on Instagram Tales about her since-deleted publish: “I went on Instagram to see the pictures we’d posted of the attractive flowers I’d obtained for my birthday! Under them was a photograph of my good friend Melissa McCarthy who I sang with on my ‘Encore’ album.

“She regarded improbable! I simply needed to pay her a praise. I forgot the world is studying!”

In 2016, Melissa and Barbra teamed up for a duet of ‘Something You Can Do’, which featured on the Oscar and Grammy-winning singer’s ‘Encore’ album.

In an interview with Leisure Weekly in 2023, Melissa stated Barbra is “actually humorous”, including about what shocked her concerning the star after they first met: “I believe when she opened the door she had leggings on and lunch meat in her hand. And I used to be like, ‘None of that is what I anticipated.’”
